are a real enthusiastic fruit lover and also like to grow a garden, then you are probably aware of how to grow many types of fruits yourself. What you may not know is how to grow a pineapple yourself on your own property.

Whenever you have a desire for fresh pineapple you probably visit the neighborhood grocery store to get some. You can still consume the pineapple you purchase, but you can use the parts you don’t eat to grow another one.

Here’s how you do it.

Once you have the store bought pineapple in your kitchen, simply cut off the top along with about an inch of flesh below.

Put the cut piece in a dish with water that comes half way up the flesh and place it near a well-lit window for three days.

Plant the piece in a large pot with some good potting soil. Root sprouts may be growing from the piece, but if not, it doesn’t really matter because the plant will still take root.

Maintain the pineapple with water twice a week. Pour the water down into the middle of the plant, but be careful not to give it too much water. The dirt should be damp or moist, but not saturated and you should fertilize it well. It’s best to grow inside the house. However, if you decide that you want to put it outside during the summer, keep an eye on it so that you can monitor its growth.

Let the plant grow for 24 to 36 months and you will have a real, large, scrumptious pineapple to eat.

Before devouring the fruit, why not cut off the top of your grown pineapple and follow the process described above to grow another one. You may never have to buy a pineapple again.
