In 2012, Lawn and Landscape magazine surveyed lawn owners on whether or not they treat their lawns with weed killer, fertilizer, or insect control products. The results showed that roughly 2/3 of lawn owners do treat their lawn, either by themselves or by hiring a lawn care operator. The survey really shows that most people are committed to providing their lawns with the treatments necessary for maintaining a healthy yard. Furthermore, about 3/5 of lawn owners do all of their lawn care themselves. This finding shows how committed Americans are to keeping their lawn in good shape, and how most people prefer to maintain their lawn by themselves rather than hire a lawn care operator.
