Kubota Also Offers Lubricants

The Kubota Tractor Corporation, manufacturer and distributor of lawn mowers and tractors located in Grapevine, Texas, also offers lubricants.

The inventory of lubricants include engine and gear oils, synthetic extreme duty grease, polyuria multi-purpose grease, and brake fluids.

The company’s heavy-duty engine oils are engineered to meet the lubrication requirements of naturally aspirated, turbocharged and supercharged diesel fueled engines, including engines with cooled exhaust gas re-circulation. They are formulated with advanced additive technology including foam control and soot dispersant additives and premium quality base stocks to protect engines against undesirable deposits, corrosion, oxidation, wear and viscosity and thermal breakdown under severe service conditions. They meet the highest American Petroleum Institute Service Categories for modern low emission diesel engines. These oils can also be used in transmission, hydraulic systems, and other industrial applications where the manufacturer recommends the use of engine oil.

Kubota gear oils are sulfur-phosphorus, extreme pressure gear lubricants formulated with premium quality base stocks to meet the demands for excellent performance. It is designed to provide excellent load carrying capacity, extreme pressure properties, anti-foam performance, corrosion protection, thermal stability protection, and service fill limited slip capability. This product is recommended for conventional rear axles, limited slip rear axles, and transmissions requiring EP gear lubes under high speed, high load, high torque, and higher horsepower conditions.

Kubota synthetic extreme duty grease is synthetic food grade NLGI 2, GCLB rated, extreme pressure grease with PIFE micro powders. Designed for use in agricultural, construction, automotive, recreational and industrial applications, the grease protects against corrosion, is impervious to salt water, lasts three to four times longer than petroleum based products, will not run, drip or evaporate, and is compatible with most other greases. It is NSF registered, meets 1998 USDA Guidelines, and is approved for use in federally inspected beef or poultry processing facilities. It is also non-toxic, clean and non-staining.

Applications include areas where a synthetic, non-toxic or food grade grease lubricants are required or desired, food processing equipment, near livestock and in equipment used in lawn care and agriculture applications near sensitive vegetation.

Kubota polyuria multi-purpose grease is a premium polyuria thickened NLGI 2, GC-LB rated extreme pressure grease. It is designed for agricultural, construction, automotive, recreational and industrial applications. It offers:

· Superior rust and corrosion protection
· Excellent resistance to water wash out
· Compatible with most other greases
· Outstanding high temperature stability for long service life
· Operating temperature range of -15°F to +380°F

It is ideal for wet environments, extreme pressure applications, general-purpose grease, and electric motors.

Kubota DOT-3 brake fluid is a blend of premium grade glycol and glycol ethers with inhibitors for corrosion protection. It is designed for use in braking systems fitted with rubber cups and seals made from natural rubber, styrene butadiene rubber, or a terpolymer of ethylene, propylene, and diene.

It is used to transmit pressure from the driver’s foot to the wheel cylinder, where the pressure is then converted into fractional braking force on the wheels. Frictional braking force creates heat, which can get transformed to the brake fluid itself. Vehicle manufacturers specify exactly which brake fluid to use. If higher heat is generated, DOT 4 brake fluid will be recommended or if normal heat is expected, DOT 3 will be recommended.

DOT 3 brake fluids will attract moisture, so always store brake fluid in a dry place with the cap securely tightened. Before opening the master cylinder, clean the surrounding area to prevent dirt or grease from contaminating the brake fluid. Do not open the master cylinder outdoors when it is raining or snowing. Do not open the master cylinder in an area of airborne dust or dirt. Check the fluid level and fill the reservoir to the level recommended by the vehicle manufacturer.
